The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has not granted the Prosecutor General's Office's motion to detain Narek Karapetyan.
"The CEC has returned the prosecutor's office's motion, which sought consent to select detention as a measure of restraint for Narek Karapetyan," lawyer Aram Vardevanyan told journalists at the CEC.
As a reminder, the CEC had been reviewing since the previous day the motion submitted by the Prosecutor General's Office, which concerned stripping Narek Karapetyan of parliamentary immunity and initiating public criminal prosecution against him.
