The Yerevan Municipality will not provide the necropsy report for the lion that was transferred from PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan's mansion to the zoo and never woke up after being sedated. In response to an inquiry from Factor TV, the municipality stated that it does not have the authority to provide or publish the report, since an investigation is ongoing.

"Unfortunately, one of the transferred animals — a female lion — did not wake up after sedation, and according to the preliminary conclusion, this was due to age-related health problems," the response stated.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee had reported that no new criminal case would be opened over the lion's death, and that the circumstances of the death would be examined within the proceedings related to illegal hunting. The municipality continues to insist that the specialists involved in the transfer process acted properly. However, the response does not directly address the core question — why it was decided to proceed with "high-risk" actions that had been documented in advance. The response states that exhaustive answers to certain questions will only be given after the investigation concludes.

As a reminder, 3 lions, 4 tigers, 9 crocodiles, and 13 swans were transferred from Gagik Tsarukyan's mansion to the Yerevan Zoo. "All the remaining animals transferred to the zoo are in satisfactory condition, are provided with appropriate conditions, and are under proper supervision and care," the municipality stated. On the morning of July 6, masked National Security Service (NSS) special forces carried out operations at Gagik Tsarukyan's mansion, and arrested him that evening.

From Tsarukyan's mansion, 190 scarecrows, 3 lions, and one tiger were confiscated, which have been recognized as material evidence. The PAP leader is currently under arrest.
