The state of the Russian economy and its key sectors is stable despite attempts to destabilize the fuel and energy complex; the difficulties in the fuel market are temporary, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, Interfax reports.

"Right at the beginning of our meeting, I would like to note that the state of the domestic economy and its key industries is stable, even despite external attempts to destabilize the situation in the fuel and energy complex and in some other sectors," the Russian president added.

"At the same time, I want to emphasize once again: the difficulties being created for us in the fuel market are certainly temporary in nature and are not capable of affecting the overall economic dynamics," Putin stressed.
