Amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, the security situation remains complex, with the potential for unforeseen escalation. This was stated in a message from the U.S. State Department.
“Americans currently in the Middle East should exercise caution and heightened vigilance, and be prepared for flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and possible disruptions to transportation.
Some airlines in the region have postponed the resumption of their previous flight schedules; others have canceled flights on certain routes. Iran and Iran-backed groups may carry out attacks on U.S. interests abroad or on facilities associated with the United States and Americans worldwide, including American businesses and other institutions. Americans outside the Middle East should reconsider travel plans to and through the region.”
