STEPANAKERT. – Ceasefire Agreement in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone is one of the major achievements, spokesperson for the Karabakh President David Babayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To note, May 12 this year marks the 18th anniversary of concluding a ceasefire agreement in the Karabakh zone. He also stated that a peace process was launched back in 1994, while Azerbaijan attempts to violate the ceasefire regime.

“However, the regime is being maintained for 18 years, which is a long term,” Babayan said stressing the agreement is one of the key achievements in the peace process. “After all, without maintaining the ceasefire regime it would be noting to settle.”
