YEREVAN. – The specific volume of the non-performing loans of Armenia’s commercial banks increased in 2011 and reached 3.4 percent at the end of the year, the Central Bank report informs. 

The specific volume of the banks’ non-performing assets likewise grew and comprised 3.3 percent by the year’s end.

The volume of non-performing loans and receivables has also increased and made up AMD 45.9 billion. The volume of standard assets also grew and made up AMD 1.36 trillion. (In line with the current exchange rate, US$ 1 is equivalent to approximately AMD 393.) 

The volume of non-performing loans is relatively higher in the public food and other service sectors, and in agricultural and commercial loans.
