YEREVAN. – Haykakan Zhamanak daily asked Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader and Armenia’s First President, to comment on ANC member Republic Party Chairman Aram Sargsyan’s announcement on renouncing his parliamentary mandate and the possibility of leaving the Congress. 

“The Congress’ leader responded: ‘First, I very much appreciate our four-year close cooperation with Aram Sargsyan and his great contribution to the establishment of the Armenian National Congress. 

And with respect to his announcement, it is difficult to assess it at this time. But if it becomes clear that he has chosen the right path, I will only be happy,’” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
