The US Embassy in Armenia has published the steps for applying for a US immigrant visa.

"Here's where to start.

Step 1: File a petition with US Citizenship and Immigration Services. A US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or employer must first file a petition with US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Once approved, your case moves to the next stage. uscis.gov

Step 2: Continue the case at the National Visa Center (NVC). Once your petition is approved by USCIS, the NVC will continue processing your case. Submit all required documents and make the necessary payments. Your case must be documentarily complete before an interview can be scheduled.

Step 3: Interview at a US Embassy or Consulate. The NVC will schedule your interview at the US Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence or citizenship. travel.state.gov
