The French ambassador was summoned to Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, Tasnim reports.
"France must apologize, because under diplomatic cover they interfered in Iran's internal affairs. Yesterday, the French ambassador in Tehran was summoned. It was emphasized that the French government must stop interfering," he said.
Earlier, two French diplomats were detained in Iran.
