Three museums were robbed in France in July: in Tarn, Bas-Rhin, and Côte-d'Or. This was reported by the newspaper Le Parisien.

“Three break-ins in less than a month. Museums are once again becoming a target of organized crime. The latest theft, which occurred on July 24, involved a gold necklace, part of the Vix treasures, from the Châtillon Museum in Côte-d'Or,” the publication says.

It is уточняется that exhibits were also stolen on July 5 from the Lalique Museum in Bas-Rhin: the perpetrators made off with 27 pieces of jewelry, whose total value exceeded €4.5 million. In addition, on the night of July 1, about 40 gold coins dating back to 50 BC and valued at more than €120,000 were stolen from the Montans archaeological center in the Tarn department.
