Europe acknowledges that the EU’s growing economic problems will not make it possible to compensate Armenia for the billions in costs it would incur if it leaves the EAEU, the press bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported.
“EU structures acknowledge that the growing economic problems in the European Union, caused by the anti-Russian sanctions policy and the eurobureaucrats’ obsessive desire to support the war in Ukraine, will leave Brussels unable to compensate Yerevan for the billions in costs,” the SVR statement said.
The SVR also said that many European countries have already signaled to the EU leadership their unwillingness to open their markets to goods from Armenia at the expense of national producers.
