On July 28, Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan received Claudia Bush, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Armenia. This was reported by the Human Rights Defender's Office.

Welcoming the ambassador, the Defender expressed gratitude for the high level of cooperation established with the German institution, emphasizing the importance of constructive bilateral dialogue in the field of protecting and promoting human rights.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of key issues related to human rights protection, addressing the protection of human rights in electoral processes, the practice of applying detention, the rights of forcibly displaced persons and missing persons, as well as the prevention of hate speech and a number of other issues.

Ambassador Claudia Bush thanked the Defender for the warm reception and for the comprehensive presentation of the work carried out, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation for the purpose of protecting and promoting human rights.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue joint efforts toward the protection and promotion of human rights.
