U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are holding a meeting at the White House on Tuesday — their second face-to-face meeting this month, the Associated Press reports.

Trump is hosting Zelensky, who also arrived in Washington to attend the farewell ceremony for Senator Lindsey Graham. The senator’s last major step before his death was a trip to Kyiv, where he secured an agreement on a package of sanctions against countries purchasing Russian oil, gas, and other export goods.

After arriving in the United States, Zelensky said on social media that his “top priority” was “missile defense and strategic cooperation with America.”

“Peace must be brought closer,” the Ukrainian president wrote before the meeting, after which he entered the White House on Tuesday morning.

A U.S. administration official, commenting on the closed-door meeting on condition of anonymity, said that Trump intends to focus on the “current peace process” between Russia and Ukraine.

In an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, Trump spoke about Graham’s tough stance on international issues and noted that the senator had always remained a consistent supporter of aid to Ukraine.

According to Trump, Graham had previously said that the time had come to reach an agreement with Iran, but had not expressed a similar position regarding the war between Russia and Ukraine.

“When it comes to Ukraine, he is very hawkish,” Trump said on Fox & Friends.

“To be honest, Lindsey loved wars,” the U.S. president added.
