Armenia cannot afford to make ambitious statements or intentions to intervene in the conflicts of major powers. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a press briefing after the Cabinet session of the Armenian government on Thursday, answering the question of whether Armenia can become a mediator and contribute to the easing of tensions between Iran and the US, taking into account the good relations it has with both sides.

“Armenia is a small and modest country, and we [i.e. Armenia] cannot have such ambitious statements and intentions. Even the idea of getting involved in the disputes of major countries is already not right,” Pashinyan explained.
