YEREVAN. – From the forty-one individual-mandate MPs, who were elected into Parliament as a result of Armenia’s May 6 National Assembly (NA) elections, thirteen are between the ages of 25 and 40, twenty six are between 41 and 60, and two MPs are 60 years of age or older, Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan told news reporters on Sunday.      

In his words, there are solely women who are elected into the NA by way of single-mandate elections.

The oldest of these forty-one deputies is the 62-year-old Vrezh Markosyan, whereas the youngest MP is the 28-year-old Hayk Grigoryan.

As the CEC Chairman informed, 29 of these MPs were elected from the Republican Party of Armenia, 9 are from the Prosperous Armenia Party, one deputy each was elected from the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party and the Orinats Yerkir parties, and one MP was self-nominated.
