YEREVAN.- The Republican Party of Armenia headed by President Serzh Sargsyan received the greatest support in Syunik Region and the lowest support in Kotayk Region during the May 6 parliamentary elections.

Armenian News-NEWS.am presents the Republican Party’s results according to the regions in descending order (the percentage was calculated from 100% of the votes cast for political parties and blocs taking part in the parliamentary elections of May 6).

Syunik Region - 61.08%
Ararat Region - 52.95%
Lori Region - 52.04%
Tavush Region - 49.86%
Vayots Dzor Region - 48.21%
Armavir Region - 47.99%
Gegharkunik Region - 46.74%
Aragatsotn Region - 46.15%
Yerevan - 37.53%
Shirak Region - 36.51%
Kotayk Region - 34.84%

The final results issued on Sunday showed the Republican Party polled 44.02% of votes (664,640).
