YEREVAN.- The annual traditional meeting of the Committee of the Annual Educational Award of the President of the Republic of Armenia in IT Sphere and candidates of the award will be held at State Engineering University of Armenia on Monday.

The award is aimed at recognizing and inspiring the best students in IT sphere. It is financed by Synopsys Armenia CJSC.

The Annual Educational Award honors top students in IT sphere, who demonstrate excellent achievements in their studies and research work, through the highest grades, involvement in social programs, participation in Olympiads and other contests, authored scientific papers or articles, and who have comprehensive knowledge and talent.

The award for 2012 includes the following nominations and categories:

• Grand Prix

• Best Ph.D. Student (I and II categories)

• Best Master Student (I and II categories)

• Best Bachelor Student (I and II categories)

• Best Diaspora Student

• Best Female Student

• Best High School Student

The contest will take place in July 2012, while the winners will be granted the award in October 1, 2012. Each winner will receive a diploma, monetary prize (the equivalent of up to 1200 dollars in drams) and a trophy evoking IT.

 During the past seven years the total of 201 students and pupils has been granted the Annual Educational Award of the President of the Republic of Armenia.
