Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received Aryeh Lightstone, Senior Advisor to US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and the Peace Missions office. Konstantin Sokolov, chairman of the Trans-Caspian Enterprise Fund—referred to in official registries as the TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund, also attended the talk, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the foreign ministry of Armenia.
Both sides emphasized the significant developments and achievements recorded since the Washington, D.C. peace summit on August 8, 2025. Stressing the importance of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan in maximizing the development potential of the region, the interlocutors also discussed possible steps aimed at further strengthening peace.
They noted with satisfaction the active dynamics of recent high-level mutual visits and agreements, the tangible achievements in the development of the Armenia-US comprehensive strategic partnership, which are also the result of the implementation of the three memoranda signed in Washington just a year ago, on August 8. Among a number of initiatives, the actively developing cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI) and the launch of a data center—the “AI factory”—being built under the first phase of the Firebird AI megaproject were stressed.
In addition, Ararat Mirzoyan and Aryeh Lightstone discussed the opportunities and programs for cooperation in trade and economic cooperation and strengthening Armenia’s economic and energy resilience.
Furthermore, matters aimed at promoting regional connectivity and realizing existing competitive advantages in this regard were discussed in detail. Reference was made to the work being carried out to implement the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, and both parties emphasized the interest in implementing this project on the ground in the shortest possible time.
They exchanged views also on the prospects for the most effective integration of Armenia into the international transportation and infrastructure system.
In addition, the interlocutors touched upon several other matters of mutual interest.
