The claims that there are Israeli military bases in Azerbaijan, or that Baku is a "lifeline" for Israel, are black propaganda and lies being spread by the enemies of Turkey and Azerbaijan, said Hikmet Hajiyev, an aide to the president of Azerbaijan, according to local media.

"We [i.e. Azerbaijan] are ready for any inspection. Let them come and inspect every meter of our territory. If they find anything belonging to Israel here, we will give the makers of these accusations the opportunity to investigate it," Hajiyev added.
