YEREVAN. – The US dollar’s exchange rate continues to increase in Armenia’s financial market.

The dollar’s average exchange rate against the Armenian dram (AMD) comprised AMD 396/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Monday, and this is the dollar’s highest exchange rate ever since April 13, 2010.

Incidentally, NASDAQ OMX Armenia closed Monday’s session at AMD 397/$1.

The total sales were $4.45 million.

And the dollar’s exchange rate had already increased at Armenia’s cash foreign currency market on the weekend and it was at the AMD 395-397/$1 range, which is still maintained.   

Following the May 6 parliamentary elections in Armenia, the US currency gained value in the country by approximately AMD 2.
