Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: For two days now, some pro-Western circles have been raising a fuss about why [the opposition] "Strong Armenia" [Faction] chose the chairmanship of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on European Integration, and they are drawing far-reaching conclusions that the pro-Russian opposition specifically chose that committee to stop or hinder the process of Armenia's integration toward Europe.
It is surprising that these circles have no complaints-demands from these authorities as to why they did not choose [to chair] the said committee at least on the second or third attempt if they were such an advocate of moving towards Europe and there was such a threat from the opposition. (...).
As for the choosing of "Strong Armenia," they told us that it was [faction] Narek Karapetyan's decision: he intends to use that platform to make Europe hear and see the endless chain of illegalities and anti-democratic actions taking place in Armenia, starting with the judicial and legal sphere, ending with others.
