YEREVAN. – A South Korean parliamentary delegation, led by the National Assembly (NA) Vice Speaker Hong Jae-hyong, visited on Tuesday Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims in Tsitsernakaberd.

They honored memory of the victims and laid a wreath at the Memorial. The delegation was accompanied by Armenian Vice Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov and Deputy Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum- Institute Suren Manukyan.

The Korean delegation also visited Armenian Genocide Museum- Institute. Talking to the journalists, Hong Jae-hyong said that both the Armenian and Korean people faced sufferings during their history.

Jae-hyong said that the Korean people are not aware of the Armenian Genocide. However, member of the delegation Nah Youn Min tried to present the 1915 events in his book “Modern tragedy”.
