Watermelon exports from Georgia have sharply decreased this year, local Business Media reports.
Accordingly, during the first six months of 2026, a total of 67.4 tons of products worth $33,600 were exported from Georgia. Compared to the same period in 2025, the value decreased by 88 percent, and the amount—by 91 percent.
The exports from Georgia to Armenia have sharply decreased, too.
If in the first half of 2025, these exports amounted to 638.3 tons of watermelons worth $221,300, in the same period this year, however, only 5.4 tons worth $7,300 were exported.
