Russia expects a report on sanitary inspections from Armenia and a clear program for compliance with Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) requirements, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) told Izvestia.

“Rosselkhoznadzor expects the results of the investigation and information on the measures taken from the Armenian side, as well as the algorithm of actions proposed by the Armenian side to comply with EAEU veterinary and phytosanitary requirements,” Rosselkhoznadzor said.

Since early May, Russia has begun to impose restrictions on the import of Armenian agricultural products. But recently, Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut stated that Armenia will be able to restore its supplies of agro-food products to the previous amount only if EAEU veterinary and phytosanitary standards are strictly observed.
