Representatives of NEWS.am participating in the Training Program for Young Media Professionals from SCO Countries in China have visited the Ordos Convergence Media Center in Ordos, Inner Mongolia.

The center is much more than a conventional newspaper or TV station: it is essentially the central media organization and communications platform for the area. The Ordos Convergence Media Center produces content for newspapers, radio, television, websites, apps and social media platforms.

Its current portfolio includes two editions of Ordos Daily, three radio frequencies, three TV channels, the Nuan News website and app, and roughly 20 new-media accounts and platforms. Rather than maintaining separate newspaper, radio, TV and digital newsrooms, the center uses an integrated workflow in which a single reporting effort can generate content in multiple formats and distribute it across multiple platforms.

The center also operates an integrated media platform that incorporates technologies such as AI-powered editing, big-data public-opinion analysis and virtual presenters. It has also established a Nuan News media learning and practical training base, where visitors can observe broadcasting, television production, newspaper printing and other media operations.
