We will not have problems with tomato procurement this year either, Armenia’s economy minister, Gevorg Papoyan, wrote on Facebook.

"I visited the Artashat Cannery to follow the tomato procurement process on site. The provincial governor of Ararat, Sedrak Tevonyan, and the leader of Artashat community, Karlen Mkrtchyan, also participated in the visit.

The company assured that they are ready to procure as many tomatoes as there will be offers from residents. The reason is the [Armenian] Government's policy of assisting local producers.

The [tomato] procurement price has been set at 40-80 drams [per kilogram]," the Armenian economy minister added.
