At some point the situation became tense during Wednesday's session of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia.

NA deputy speaker Vahagn Aleksanyan, who chaired the session, announced: "[Opposition MP] Mr. Tigran Abrahamyan, you are being warned. You cannot warn me. [Opposition MP] Mr. Davit Ghazinyan, you are also being warned. A disciplinary penalty is being applied to MP Davit Ghazinyan: deprivation of the right to speak from the microphone at one [NA] session. Mr. Ghazinyan, you have decided to check everyone. Mr. Ghazinyan, no, you cannot understand. Dear [opposition faction] colleagues, this is not your faction's session, so behave in an orderly manner. Mr. Ghazinyan, stop talking from your seat!"

Opposition "Strong Armenia" Faction MPs were saying something from their seats, to which the NA deputy speaker responded: “Disciplinary action is being taken against MP Davit Ghazinyan: removal from the sessions to be held until the end of the day, depriving [him] of the right to be present in the [NA sessions’] hall during that time.”

Also, Aleksanyan called on Davit Ghazinyan several times to leave the NA sessions’ hall, but seeing that he was not leaving, Aleksanyan called security officers in to remove the opposition MP from the hall.

The security officers entered the NA sessions’ hall, after which Ghazinyan expressed his willingness to leave hall.

“Dear colleagues, he [i.e. Ghazinyan] is leaving, let him leave,” said Vahagn Aleksanyan.

At that time, NA opposition deputy speaker Aram Vardevanyan noted that there was absolutely no need to apply such a measure.

And MP Gegham Manukyan from the opposition “Armenia” Faction noted that Vahagn Aleksanyan was violating the NA regulations and commenting on all addresses.
