The Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Armenia has released details of a fatal run-over involving a truck in Gegharkunik Province.

Accordingly, at around 9pm on Wednesday, a truck hit several soldiers on a road leading to Chambarak town and under still unknown circumstances. One of these soldier, Suren Vardanyan, died.

The other soldiers—whose families have been informed of the incident in accordance with the established procedure—were taken to a military hospital, their injuries are not life-threatening, and are under the supervision of the military hospital's medical staff.

An investigation is underway to fully ascertain the circumstances of this incident.
