Armenia intends to deepen strategic partnership with China. This is stated in the Armenian government’s five-year program, which was approved at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government and has now been sent to the parliament for approval.

“The [Armenian] government will continue to consistently implement the agreements reached as a result of the meeting of the prime minister of Armenia and the president of the PRC [i.e. the People's Republic of China] on August 31, 2025, as well as continue work to develop cooperation in the domains noted in the joint statement on raising the level of Armenian-Chinese relations to the level of strategic partnership and achieve tangible results,” the aforesaid program adds.

Armenia will also strive to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

"Active work will continue to develop cooperation with India in domains of mutual interest, including the economy, defense, transport, education, culture, healthcare, information technologies and other domains, as well as to bring the Armenian-Indian partnership to a qualitatively new level," also states the five-year plan of the Armenian government.
