The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, was taken to a hospital by ambulance from the Anti-Corruption Committee.

Kocharyan, who is detained in order to file a petition with the court so as to take him into custody as a pretrial measure, felt ill—as high blood pressure was recorded, due to which an ambulance was called, and he was taken to a medical institution for examination, the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia reports.

We previously reported that second President Robert Kocharyan and his eldest son, Sedrak, were detained and taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee as part of a criminal case being examined by the committee.

Also, searches are being conducted in the home of Robert Kocharyan's youngest son, Levon Kocharyan, a member of the opposition "Armenia" Faction in parliament, and in companies belonging to the Kocharyan family.
