The search at my home is related to political activity. Levon Kocharyan, a member of the opposition "Armenia" Faction in parliament and the son of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, told reporters Tuesday.

Levon Kocharyan confirmed that the aforesaid search has been underway since 7am, and noted that he is aware of the actions related to his father and older brother, Sedrak.

According to Levon Kocharyan, what is happening was not unexpected.

"This is the ordinary signature of filthy traitors, and the press also had written yesterday that such actions are expected. What is happening is related to our oppositional activity and disagreement with these authorities. We are ready for this, it is not the first time, and this will continue against all those who try to speak out against [these authorities]," Levon Kocharyan noted.

We previously reported that second President Robert Kocharyan and his eldest son, Sedrak, were detained and taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee today as part of a criminal case being examined by the committee.

Also, searches are being conducted in the home of Robert Kocharyan's youngest son, Levon Kocharyan, a member of the opposition "Armenia" Faction in parliament, and in companies belonging to the Kocharyan family.
