The Strait of Hormuz belongs to Iran and Oman, said Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, Mehr reports.
“We [i.e. Iran] started [respective] negotiations with Oman about a month ago and reached results that were accepted by both sides. During these negotiations, agreements were reached on the share of each of the two countries in the revenue from shipping [through the Strait of Hormuz],” the IRGC spokesperson noted.
