Second President Robert Kocharyan has been transferred to the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia, lawyer Aram Orbelyan reports.

And the Anti-Corruption Committee reported that a motion to remand Kocharyan—who is accused of large-scale money laundering, abuse of official power, and large-scale bribery—in custody, as well as the accused himself, have been submitted to the Anti-Corruption Court.

Robert Kocharyan was detained Tuesday. But he felt ill at the Anti-Corruption Committee and was transferred to a medical facility.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that on Tuesday at around 7am, law enforcement officers raided the house of opposition MP Levon Kocharyan, while his father, second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, was taken by investigative bodies to the Anti-Corruption Committee. Later, it became known that Robert Kocharyan and his eldest son, Sedrak Kocharyan, were detained.

In addition, also early Tuesday morning, tax authorities of Armenia sealed the Yerevan office of Toyota.

Furthermore, investigative and procedural actions were carried out at Orange Fitness club, Play City entertainment center, and in the directors' homes within the framework of criminal proceedings. The Kocharyan family has shares in these companies.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday had instructed the law enforcement to deprive second President Robert Kocharyan and third President Serzh Sargsyan of their property.

The Prosecutor General's Office on Tuesday issued a statement, which, in particular, noted that on Monday, the prosecutor initiated public criminal prosecution against the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, for abuse of official power, receiving a bribe in a particularly large amount, and laundering money in a particularly large amount.

The prosecutor has initiated public criminal prosecution against nine more individuals, including Sedrak Kocharyan, the son of Armenia’s second president, former defense minister Serzh Sargsyan, former prime minister, the late Andranik Margaryan, former mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglaryan, Samvel Mayrapetyan, a partner in Local Developers LLC, as well as Aramayis Vorskanyan, the head of construction company Aygedzor LLC, his wife, and two daughters.
