Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: Yesterday, during questioning at the Anti-Corruption Committee, [second president] Robert Kocharyan [who has been detained] had fallen ill, after which he was transferred to the Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center [in Yerevan].

According to our information, Kocharyan wanted to be transferred to the Erebouni Medical Center [in Yerevan], where he had undergone surgery 10 days ago—a heart stent was placed. However, the investigative body did not grant his wish, and they decided that he should be transferred to the Surb Grigor Lusavorich MC [i.e. Medical Center] functioning under the Ministry of Health.

We were told that the reason is that this MC was closer to the Anti-Corruption Committee [where Kocharyan was to be taken again]. But the reasonable and humane thing would have been to transfer him to the medical center where he had undergone surgery, so that the doctor treating him, who knows the details of his health condition, could provide medical assistance.

We wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that [PM] Nikol Pashinyan personally decided this matter, too. According to our information, the doctor who operated on Kocharyan was nevertheless called to the Surb Grigor Lusavorich hospital yesterday, where he examined Kocharyan and conducted a consultation.
