TBILISI. - A group of restorers has started work in Surb Nhsan Armenian church of Tbilisi which collapsed on the night of May 14 due to heavy rains and tremors near the Georgian-Azerbaijani border.

The experts are cleaning the territory and dismantling the remaining building, Georgian Ministry of Culture said in a statement, Gruziya Online reports.

Georgian officials and representatives of the municipality are at the site as well.

The project of full renovation of Surb Nshan church was drawn up in 2011 with the financing of Georgia’s National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation.
