On Sunday night, a fire broke out at the WB Electronics plant in the Polish city of Skarzysko-Kamienna, Poland, which produces drones for the Ukrainian and Polish armies, Onet reports.

The fire engulfed the production and storage area. The fire was extinguished in two hours. The factory was not operating at the time of the incident, no one was injured, police said. The exact extent of the damage is still being determined. Shortly before the fire, a security alarm system sensor was triggered on the factory premises.

Video surveillance cameras showed a masked man who had penetrated through a fence, and later a backpack and jacket were found nearby. Law enforcement agencies do not rule out the possibility of arson.

WB Electronics is part of WB Group, Poland's largest private arms company. The affected plant produces composite structures and control systems for drones. This is the fifth incident in a month at European enterprises involved in arms supplies to Ukraine. Before that, also in August, an explosion occurred at the KNDS Ammo Italy factory in Colleferro, Italy, and a fire occurred at the Bulgarian EMCO arms factory.

In Tallinn, the building of the Estonian military robotics manufacturer Milrem Robotics was set on fire, and the authorities suspected Russia of being behind it. In addition, an attempt to set fire to the Ukrainian company Skyeton’s factory, which produces Raybird drones, was prevented in Slovakia.
