Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Monday met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Azerbaijani media report.

The meeting took place in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.

The parties stressed the need to use existing opportunities to develop and deepen relations between the two countries in various domains, Iran's Tasnim News Agency reports.
