Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan, on Tuesday received French Ambassador Olivier Decottignies, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia, the NA informs.

Rubinyan thanked the ambassador for his significant contribution to the development of ties between Armenia and France and wished him success in his future activities.

The ambassador also thanked the NA speaker for effective cooperation.

The subsequent meeting touched upon the high-level bilateral relations and opportunities to deepen cooperation between Armenia and France in various domains. In this context, the active role of parliamentary friendship groups was lauded.

The parties noted with satisfaction the prospects for the development of the Armenia-France strategic partnership, too.

Regional developments were discussed as well.
