YEREVAN. – It is painful that PM of Armenia chose an ‘easy’ way for counteraction, former FM, Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) member Vartan Oskanian wrote on his Facebook page.

“I got aware of the fact that the PM has touched upon and even replied at the Government Thursday’s session to my criticism on Armenia’s economic policy during the election campaign. It is painful that the PM has chosen an ‘easy’ way to qualify my criticism ‘illiterate,’ in the case when my criticism, analyses and comments referred to the most concerning issues for people, namely social-economic issues. It is enough to ask the citizens’ opinion on the results of PM’s policy,” Oskanian said.

Based on the current global economic situation, central banks passed from monitoring the inflation to monitoring the nominal GDP, which assumes for the central banks to balance economic growth and containment of inflation.

A key target is economic growth in Armenia, including opening new jobs, raising the life standards and viewing all the other issues within this context. In addition, all international organizations emphasize that there are risks, which are still indefinite in Armenia regarding conclusion of long term-contracts

Earlier Armenian News-NEWS.am has informed that the PM Tigran Sargsyan made quite rude estimations regarding Oskanian’s statements during the election period, who had claimed that central bank and government failed to coordinate their work effectively.
