DIYARBAKIR. – Police officers arrested a 16-year-old girl in Diyarbakir, Turkey, who was earning money through prostitution on the demand of her mother.

As the Turkish Milliyet reports, the girl said in the police station that last February when she was yet 15 years-old her mother compelled her to get engaged into prostitution. 

“You have grown up now, go and get engaged into prostitution,” the girl’s mother told her.

Criminal cases were launched against those who had sex with the girl and against her mother.
