A forum with the participation of the business communities of Armenia and Turkey will be held in Yerevan on September 3 and 4, Ermenihaber.am reports.

It will be held by the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA), and within the framework of the EU-funded Support to Armenia-Türkiye Normalization: Enhancing Cross-border Linkages program.

UMBA released a statement about the forum. It was noted that the objective of this event is to bring together representatives of business and state structures of Armenia and Turkey on one platform to discuss the opportunities for economic cooperation, identify new directions and formats of interaction, as well as promote the formation of new business ties and partnerships between the two countries.

Discussions and meetings are planned during the event on the potential of bilateral economic cooperation, the development of business ties, and opportunities for cross-border cooperation between Armenia and Turkey.

In particular, the results of a study on the opportunities of and the existing obstacles to transport communications between the two countries will be presented, a panel discussion will be held on the topic of the next steps in Armenian-Turkish economic cooperation, and contacts between representatives of the IT and tourism sectors are planned at the bilateral (B2) meetings of businesses of the two countries.

The previous forum with the participation of the business communities of Armenia and Turkey took place on June 2 in Kars, Turkey.
