None of the EAEU member states has sworn an oath of allegiance to it  and is free to express its will. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Thursday’s press briefing, addressing the matter of Armenia’s possible withdrawal from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

“And who said that all EAEU member states have sworn an oath of allegiance and that they will be members of this organization throughout their existence? Yes, there is a deadline for making a decision. And if we [i.e. Armenia] decide in favor of leaving, the organization must be notified of this six months before it takes place. And we have said that we are guided by this logic and proceed from this reality. Therefore, our position is this, and we are consistently working with Russian partners to make this position more understandable and acceptable," Pashinyan noted.
