The range of modern electric cars already enables to make long trips without frequent stops for charging. In 2026, several models at once, according to official estimates, can travel about 725 km on a single charge, Interesting Engineering reports.

The leader on this list is the Lucid Air Grand Touring. In the version with 19-inch wheels, the estimated range of the sedan according to the EPA methodology reaches up to 824 km. At the same time, its power reaches 819 horsepower, and charging from a 350 kW station enables to replenish the range of about 322 km in about 12 minutes. In second place is the Chevrolet Silverado EV Work Truck Max Range, the electric pickup truck can travel up to 793 km according to the EPA.

This car is designed also to tow trailers weighing about 5.7 tons. The declared range of the GMC Sierra EV Denali Max Range, according to the manufacturer, reaches up to 769 km. The pickup is equipped with a rear-wheel steering system and CrabWalk mode, which enables the car to move diagonally at low speeds. The list also includes the large electric SUV Cadillac Escalade IQ.

According to the manufacturer's estimates, it can travel up to 748 km on a single charge. The car has three rows of seats and accommodates up to seven people. The Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ shows up to 872 km in the European WLTP cycle, which is the highest figure among the presented models. However, it is not correct to compare it directly with EPA indicators, since the testing methodologies are different.

The BMW iX3 50 xDrive, depending on the equipment, can travel up to 805 km in the WLTP cycle. The electric car has an 800-volt architecture and supports charging with a capacity of up to 400 kW.

With a suitable station, a 10-minute charge can add up to 372 km of range. The list is completed by the electric Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+, for which the manufacturer states a range of up to 777 km in WLTP. At the same time, its 85 kWh battery is significantly more compact than the batteries of some electric pickup trucks presented.

Thus, modern electric cars have already approached the indicator of 800 km or more on a single charge, according to official or manufacturer-declared cycles. But at the same time, the EPA and WLTP results reflect different test conditions, so the actual indicators in everyday operation may differ.
