Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan on Monday met with representatives of leading Latvian think tanks, in Riga, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

During the meeting, Mirzoyan presented the developments in the South Caucasus, and the work being carried out to maintain and further develop a favorable security environment around Armenia, normalize and/or develop relations with countries in the region, as well as deepen existing partnerships outside the region.

Also, the minister spoke about Armenia's approaches to further institutionalizing peace. Reference was also made to initiatives aimed at promoting regional connectivity, including the implementation of the TRIPP project.

Reference was made also to Armenia’s balanced and balancing foreign policy, as well as the agenda for expanding strategic partnerships. The foreign minister of Armenia emphasized the importance the country attaches to the further development of cooperation with the Baltic states in specific domains, as well as to the exchange of experience in cooperation with the EU.

In addition, Mirzoyan presented the work being carried out by Armenia to diversify its economic ties and strengthen its economic resilience.

After his address, Ararat Mirzoyan answered questions from those in attendance.
