Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan on Tuesday participated in a ministerial roundtable discussion on investments, on the margins of the 15th Annual Investment Congress being held in Dubai, the minister himself informed on Facebook.
“During the discussion, I touched upon the priorities of Armenia’s industrial policy, emphasizing that in the coming decade, emphasis will be placed on the development of modern and highly productive industry, technological modernization, digitalization and automation.
I presented the main opportunities of Armenia’s investment environment, emphasizing the importance of foreign direct investment in terms of the formation of new production capacities, technology and knowledge transfer, human capital development, as well as the integration of Armenian companies into global value chains.
‘Armenia is ready to transform from an appealing destination for investments into an investment platform, combining capital, technology and human potential, and creating products for regional and global markets,’ I noted in my speech.
Among the major projects of Armenia being implemented in the field of artificial intelligence, I pointed to the large-scale technological project Firebird AI Factory, being implemented in Armenia in cooperation with Firebird and NVIDIA,” the Armenian economy minister added in his post.
