Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov discussed with US Chargé d’Affaires in Armenia David Allen the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project and the prospects for normalizing Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, Azerbaijani media report.
The meeting took place in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, where Allen arrived on a visit. US Chargé d’Affaires in Azerbaijan Amy Carlon also participated in it. According to the report, the parties discussed the promotion of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, ensuring long-term and sustainable peace, as well as strengthening stability and security in the region.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of the TRIPP project and the creation of a company that will manage the construction of infrastructure along the route. Also, Mammadov presented the results of his US visit, which took place on the anniversary of the Washington peace summit, and the trilateral declaration signed as a result of it.
In addition, representatives of Azerbaijan and the US discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation and the directions provided for in the charter of strategic partnership.
