The US Department of Homeland Security said that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers may arrest illegal immigrants at polling stations during the congressional elections on November 3.
ICE does not plan specific actions against polling stations. The service carries out targeted measures based on intelligence. If there is a real threat to public safety at a polling station, then those who pose this threat may be arrested, the US Department of Homeland Security said.
Also, it recalled the US leadership's position that if a person is not a US citizen, he has no right to vote, therefore, he has no reason to be at a polling station.
