Armenia will finance participation of high-ranking representatives from 74 least developed countries and developing small island nations in the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be held in Yerevan in October.

The relevant decision was made on Friday at the Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.

According to the government’s decision on Friday, 93.5 million drams (about $257,000) will be allocated for this purpose.
