Armenia’s Gabriel Sundukyan State Academic Theatre of Yerevan, which was in London along the lines of the World Shakespeare festival being held at the Globe Theatre of Shakespeare, successfully staged Shakespeare’s “King John” on Wednesday and Thursday.
The performances were viewed by representatives from the Armenian community of UK and numerous foreign audiences.
The Festival’s Director Tom Bird noted that “King John’s” performance by the Sundukyan theater’s actors was incomparable. And the event’s General Producer Dominic Dromgoole highly evaluated the Armenian actors’ performance and the play’s interesting solutions.
A total of 37 countries had received the right to take part in the World Shakespeare festival.
