The Chinese authorities consider groundless the allegations that the Chinese side had provided satellite images to Iran before the alleged missile strike on a US military base in Jordan, said Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson Guo Jiakun.

“We [i.e. China] firmly oppose groundless suspicions and accusations that are not supported by evidence,” Guo said at a press briefing, as he commented on the information received.

The Chinese MFA spokesperson noted that “as a responsible power, China always strictly fulfills its international obligations.”

The Wall Street Journal had reported that Chinese companies allegedly had provided satellite images to Iran ahead of its missile strike on a US military base in Jordan in July. Three American soldiers were killed and four others were injured as a result of the attack.
